This  port  is  well – protected port  on the  bank of  Bhatkal river 
 Presently  fishing  vessels are utilising  the  facilities of  this port. 
 This port could  be  developed  as a  modern  fishing  harbour  with
 full  fledged  fish  handling  facilities.

• Konkan Railway line and N.H.17 passing very close to the Port.
